RAMADAN KAREEM

We are all aware of the fact that Shrikrishna Report which has stated that we have the lowest per capita income and we have the highest number of drop outs from school and colleges. We are least represented in government jobs & it will get worse if we as a community do not take any steps to stop the school dropouts. As far as our government is concern it is yet to implement 5 point programme recommended by this report. This year central government has reduced financial budget allotment towards minority education scholarship.

Based on these facts we at Al-Iqra are focusing our maximum resources towards providing financial assistance to deserving students of our community. With limited resources we have, we are trying our best to make sure meritious students do not discontinue their studies or dropout from colleges or school due to financial constrains.

Last financial year we conducted three education awareness programs. Well known educationist Janab Mubarak Kapadi, Janab Abdul Qadir and Janab Ameen Mudassar spoke on the importance of education, available of scholarships and duties of parents towards their children.
